We love living in Sarasota County and being local business owners in this community for many reasons. Sarasota has so much to offer, from its pristine sandy beaches and beautiful gulf shore waters to its city sophistication infused with an eclectic and artisan culture, inspired offerings, and downright friendliness.
All of these things are represented through-out the county in its broad range of eateries, galleries, museums, gardens, theatres, concert halls, architecture, boutiques and other businesses. It is a great place to live, work and call home (or home-away-from home).
One of the best ways to get to know a city or town is to experience it and interact with the community.
So, we want to introduce you to the local community in a series called “Local Loves” where PMI Sarasota will share some of our favorite finds.
LOCAL LOVES:
Ama La Vita
On Mainstreet, Downtown Sarasota
When you dine at Ama La Vita you’ll be treated like an old friend. Husband and wife owners Tricia and Danny go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is apparent from the moment you step foot through the door that they love what they do. Danny is the chef and Tricia manages the front of the house, plus she is an incredible baker. She makes all the breads and desserts. A must have is her coconut cake! She takes cake orders for special occasions, so keep that in mind if you don’t feel like baking yourself.
Ama La Vita has a relaxed and comfortable vibe with exceptional homemade style Italian food. Try any one of their homemade pastas, like the Cacio E Pepe or Gnocchi Formaggio or order up the eggplant parmesan, a fan favorite here. It’s a gem in downtown.
